We understand that life can present unexpected challenges, and sometimes owners are unable to continue caring for their beloved reptile companions. Our surrender services offer a compassionate solution, providing a judgment-free zone where owners can entrust their reptiles to us knowing they will receive the care and attention they deserve. Our facility serves as a safe haven for unwanted reptiles, where they are welcomed with open arms and provided with a nurturing environment. We recognize the unique bond between humans and their pets and are committed to honoring that bond by ensuring every reptile in our care receives the love and support they need. As a no-kill shelter, we adhere to a steadfast commitment to the well-being of every animal entrusted to us. This means that animals are not euthanized based on behavior or space constraints. Instead, we are dedicated to providing lifelong sanctuary for these animals or finding them loving adoptive families who will cherish them as much as we do. Please read our surrender form for more information. All surrenders must be approved before dropping off an animal.

We recognize that life can sometimes take unexpected turns, leaving individuals and families facing temporary challenges such as homelessness. We're proud to collaborate with social workers to offer a compassionate solution for those in need. Through our partnership with social workers, we extend a helping hand to individuals experiencing homelessness or other temporary hardships by providing free boarding services for their beloved reptile companions. We understand that the human-animal bond is a powerful force that transcends circumstances, and we're committed to preserving that bond even in the face of adversity, reuniting pets with owners when life allows. Our boarding services offer a safe and nurturing environment where reptiles can receive the care and attention they need while their owners navigate their temporary challenges. Whether it's due to financial struggles, housing instability, or other unforeseen circumstances, we're here to provide a lifeline for both reptiles and their owners during difficult times. At Ontario Reptile Rescue, we believe that no one should have to face adversity alone, and we're proud to play a role in supporting individuals and families in their time of need. Through this program, we're not just providing a temporary solution; we're helping to strengthen the human-animal bond and bring a sense of hope and compassion to those who need it most, when they need it most.
